Context
Poussin sur la Banquise is an adventure-based art project: a 6.50m scow – a small, flat-bottomed racing hull – prepared for Arctic navigation, and the voyage turned into a show. It ran under L’Insolite Compagnie, of which I was president from 2017 to 2024.
What I did
- Producer of the project: funding, partnerships, planning and logistics.
- Preparation of the boat for high-latitude sailing.
- Turned the navigation into an art show, with the company’s artists.
Outcome
An expedition and a show, delivered by a small volunteer team over seven years.
Not software – but the same job as any other project here: an ambitious objective, hard constraints, a team to carry it, and no option but to make the thing actually work.
