Context
Silkan builds HPC and real-time simulation solutions. Cloud computing was changing how simulation workloads could be delivered, and the company needed that explored through collaborative R&D rather than in isolation.
What I did
- Managed R&D partnerships on cloud computing projects, with industrial and academic partners.
- Led the cloud computing innovation projects, including cloud rendering for simulation workloads.
- Integrated the outcomes of those R&D projects back into internal products.
Outcome
Collaborative research turned into technology the company’s own simulation solutions could use.
Jean is a talented engineer, passionate and enthusiast about his work. I work with him for about 2 years at Silkan and it has been a pleasure to work with such a talented person. He his very efficient, understand very fast and has a very strong technical background. I learn a lot from him, thanks to the variety of his knowledge, both on IT and on software architecture.
